2025 Interior Design Forecast

As we step into 2025, interior design trends are evolving toward creating spaces that resonate deeply with our lifestyles. This year’s forecast highlights a return to quiet, understated luxury and the increasing importance of sensorial and sustainable design. Homes are becoming sanctuaries, where thoughtful use of materials, textures, and colors evoke comfort, well-being, and refined sophistication. From minimalist elegance to tactile experiences, the key trends of 2025 celebrate timeless beauty and the art of living with intention. Explore how these trends—rooted in simplicity, texture, and sustainability—are shaping the future of interior spaces.

2025 Colors of the Year

2025 is shaping up to be a year of bold color choices and soothing neutrals in interior paint.

With organic and biophilic design on the rise, calming colors that bring the outdoors in will be popular in the upcoming year. Benjamin Moore's Cinnamon Slate, a warm, earthy hue with terracotta undertones, perfectly aligns with this trend, offering a grounded yet sophisticated option for interiors. Similarly, Pantone's Color of the Year 2025, Mocha Mousse provides a sense of elegance and comfort, that can serve as a versatile foundation.

Most notably, Sherwin Williams embraced this trend by releasing not only one color of the year but an entire capsule of organically inspired colors that harmonize with these neutral palettes.

On the other end of the spectrum, companies like Valspar, Behr, and Glidden are showing bolder jewel tones as colors of the year for 2025 in anticipation of more sensorially decadent design preferences.

2025 Tile Trends

2025 is ushering in a new era of tile trends, characterized by a blend of classic elegance and contemporary flair.

Natural materials like marble and stone continue to dominate, however, we're also seeing a resurgence of bold patterns and vibrant colors.

Mosaic and patterned tiles are increasing in popularity as they offer endless possibilities for creative backsplashes and feature walls. While speciality and artisan designed tiles continue to be a popular choice for unique and specialty options.

Additionally, as sustainability becomes increasingly important, eco-friendly options like recycled glass and porcelain tiles are gaining popularity.

2025 Key Trends:

  • Quiet Luxury

    • Quiet Luxury emphasizes simplicity with high-quality materials and timeless design. It’s about a sophisticated and minimal aesthetic that feels exclusive without being showy.

  • Sensorial:

    • Sensorial design is all about creating spaces that appeal to the senses—whether through touch, sight, or sound. Textured walls, mood lighting, and innovative materials make environments feel immersive.

  • Texture:

    • Texture will be a major player in 2025, adding depth and dimension to both walls and furniture. Whether it’s through tactile surfaces or intricate tile designs, texture adds a sense of warmth and richness.

  • Sustainable Design:

    • Sustainability is an ever-present trend, but in 2025, it will be more integrated into high-end design. Think luxurious eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient systems, and designs that consider their environmental impact.
